I’ve been searching for a heated uncapping knife for a while. I’ve checked all the reviews for the non American made models. They were not highly rated. After receiving and using the Pierce knife, i would highly recommend it. It keeps the temperature perfect for consistent uncapping. I have also used a knife with external temperature regulation. I found it hard to set the temperature correctly.

I really like these honey gates. I had an old honey bucket with one like this, but they are hard to find on ready made buckets. My last buckets were round and got stress cracks. Found some square food grade buckets and added the Pierce honey gates. I think the gate being installed on a flat surface will eliminate stress cracks on the buckets. These gates seem to open and close more easily with less dripping. Works great with the Pierce 5 gallon filter bag.
